Unshaken in a Shaken World

Our globe is being shaken harder and harder by the forces of chaos. As it’s shaken, so are we.

It’s like trying to do everyday life in a continuous earthquake. Or in a swirling snowstorm. It’s hard to gain our bearings. To think straight. To see what’s really going on. The point isn’t to dwell on the havoc in our lives, get used to it, or tremble in fear. That never works.

The goal is to turn our focus on God. From that place, we can overcome what comes against us. We can actively slow its spread by not letting it into our hearts, homes, dreams, relationships, or areas of gifting. We can be unshaken overcomers.

This is a defiant message of hope. It’s time for us to fill the empty, void places around us with beauty, light, and order. This badly shaken world is in desperate need of that. God has provided a way for us to experience more peace and to then usher it into the places we live and work and play.

I see that the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. (Acts 2:25 NLT)
