The Explorer’s Edge On Experts

When it comes to your creativity, the best journey you can invite others into is the one you're currently on.

It’s okay you’re not yet an expert on the topic you're passionate about. Far better to be a wide-eyed explorer who is curious rather than a bored expert on auto-pilot. Keep asking God questions rather than assuming you have all the answers. You’ll be amazed at how this provides an edge by infusing your art with wonder and awe.

Then invite those with similar dreams, pain, and questions to travel alongside you. No one else can access or offer that exact combination of creativity because they haven't walked your exact journey. Embrace that rather than apologize for it.

Ultimately, what you create is an outer expression of your inner journey. When the internal journey of discovery stops, the creative process withers. So dive wholeheartedly into the unknown with God. Being in over your head is God’s way of taking you and your creativity to deeper places.

If this resonates, I encourage you to print this image as a reminder of who you are and where you’re headed…with God.
