The Artificial Isn’t Real

We’ll never find our way to the real through the artificial. The artificial is what’s in the way of the real.

Anything that promises life or answers without God represents the artificial. While we may choose it over God, it can never replace the real. This leads to the first lie.

Lie 1: The Artificial Is Real

Many already prefer virtual reality to actual reality. The ability to leave this world behind for an imaginary one where people recreate themselves draws them in...and keeps them in. It’s a world, unlike ours, where you have endless do-overs and risk primarily in imaginary ways.

But even for those of us not wearing VR headsets, we defer to the artificial in more and more areas of our lives. It has invaded the ways we create, date, learn, relate. The way we understand history. Our approach to healthcare and warfare. And our constant demand for instant answers.

We must never accept this as the new normal. Or call the artificial real. We must defy it.
