Come Home

It’s possible to be homesick for a home we never knew existed.

At the deepest level, our desire for a home isn’t actually for a physical dwelling place. But rather, a place where we are completely known. Not where we were born but where we can finally and fully be who we were created to be.

In a mythic sense, it's your True North. It's where you're headed based on who you're becoming. Once you discover it, your art will reflect your unique True North–serving as a beacon that lights the path for others on their homeward journey.

But before you can experience a creative “homerun,” you need to know where “home” is for you. How else can you set your sights on it and run to it.

The breakthrough comes when you realize, at the deepest level, your longing for home is actually your longing for God. He is your true home. Which means as long as you try to pursue your dreams on your own, you remain, at your core, “homeless”.

But when you pursue life with God, you are home regardless of your location. It’s a place that doesn’t require you to do more in order to belong. A place that you cannot lose or earn.

Everyone there is a much loved son or daughter of the Father, fully seen and fully loved. Because of who they are, not what they do. Imagine arriving at that home. Resting in that home. Creating from that home. This isn’t something that’s only available in the far distant future. God wants you to experience it now.

Welcome home.
