Change Your Mind…Once

We live in a world where we’re expected to constantly change our minds about everything. Scripture refers to this as being double-minded (James 1:8). It is the fruit of being anchored to nothing. 

But as believers, we only have to change our minds once. When we give our lives to Jesus, we no longer rely on the mindset of our ancestors Adam and Eve but now have the mind of Christ. 

But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16 NLT) 

After that, we’re encouraged to renew our minds each day in order to not think like the world. But we never have to change it again! 

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2 NIV)
