Beyond You, For You, Never Up to You

What God invites you into is beyond you, for you, and never up to you. 

Let’s take it slow and go through these three points one at a time. 

First, what God invites you into is beyond you. Listen to the words of God in the book of Jeremiah: Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. (Jeremiah 33:3 NLT) 

I hope that’s comforting. Because where you are limited, God is limitless. You can do what’s within your reach in your own strength. But with God, you step into a realm where your creations transcend you. 

Second, what God invites you into is for you. It isn’t a generic opportunity for anyone and everyone. It is unique to your life, your heart, and your story. The adventure will fit like it is custom made for you…because it has been. 

Third, what God invites you into is never up to you. If he’s given you a dream, he will see it through. In his time. In his way. The process and outcome likely won’t look like you thought it would. That’s actually good news. Because his ways are higher than your ways. 

So rest easy and accept God’s invitation. Because it’s beyond you, for you, and never up to you.
