Become More Intentional
Some approach the creative process like a painter splashing buckets of paint on a canvas and hoping for beauty. That’s not purposeful creativity. It’s random chaos.
In creation, God took the opposite approach. There is an order to his creation. An order to the process. A trueness to how and what he created. It was neither chaotic nor formulaic. God wasn’t randomly creating without purpose or intent. Nor did he recreate the same thing every day. It was a new dance each time. Unique. Distinct.
For some, order may hold a negative connotation, like a drill sergeant ordering you to do something you don’t want to do. That’s not what order means in this context. Think of order here as the way things were meant to be. Purpose. Design. Intention.
How might you bring more intentionality to your creativity?
