Your Story’s Just Begun

I love sharing creative discoveries with you. Especially when they reveal aspects of the Creator or Creation in new ways.  

A friend recently introduced me to the band The Arcadian Wild. Their four-song album, Principium, provides a modern interpretation of the Eden story by focusing on a unique aspect, or season, for each song. The four movements are:

Spring: Wake
Summer: Walk
Fall: War
Winter: Will

Online, you’ll find two versions of each song. One tells the story with actors and the other through art and lyrics. The links I provided are for the lyric version. I recommend starting there so you’re familiar with the words.

You’ll notice the lyrics aren’t weighed down with the overfamiliarity of religious language that so often dulls the power of the Genesis creation story. 

It only takes about 20 minutes to experience all four songs. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.
