Your Spiral Staircase

When you find yourself struggling with an issue you thought you'd overcome, it’s helpful to view the process like steps on a spiral staircase.

Yep, you've already made one circle around this particular struggle. Maybe a few. That the issue is still present doesn’t mean you’re blowing it. Or that you’ll never be free from it. You’re not going in circles. You’re just still on the journey.

That you’re dealing with the same issue doesn’t mean there’s been no progress. Each rotation on the spiral staircase takes you higher up—with a new view of what’s possible.

Whenever you feel stuck, pause to notice how far God has brought you. And remember his promises for even more as you follow him.

It’s the kind of journey where you don’t just arrive somewhere new. You arrive a new creation.
