Your Creative Motive

Artists are often asked "What are you creating?"

A better question is "Why are you creating?"

Passion, curiosity and joy fuel your creativity. Striving for validation or chasing fame or money drains it.

Take a moment now to check your Creative Motive.

Is it a proving ground, where you seek validation from your creations? Or is it a passion ground based on what you simply can’t not do? Do you approach your gifting with God or try do it all on your own?

There's no guarantee of income from our creativity. Painters may need to build decks to pay the bills. Deck builders may need to paint for income. We all have to make a living. But at our deepest level, we don't create because we're paid to do so but because we're born to do so.

A healthy motive results in less pressure to prove something and more passion to create something.
