Why Your Creativity Is Opposed

Your dreams and creativity are opposed. Have you ever wondered why…or do you just blame yourself for some form of lack when it comes to your age, stage, degree, free time, or connections?

While we can certainly create some of our own problems and this fallen world can make it hard to get ahead, there is something far more at play for all who desire to create with God.

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12 NLT)

We have a supernatural enemy. He knows creativity with an eternal spark is a doorway to intimacy with the Father and to the restoration of what has been lost and stolen. What is done in union with God has the power to transcend us and ripple far beyond this moment in time. Of course, the enemy will throw every bit of chaos he can at us. He wants to disconnect you from God and derail your efforts by filling you with fear and nothingness.

Though God’s ultimate victory is assured, our daily battles are intense. We aren’t given advance warning of every coming storm. Tragedy often strikes in the blink of an eye. That’s why we must train now. We can only counter the forces of chaos by being firmly rooted in the One who has overcome the world and every form of chaos within it. (John 16:33)
