Things Are Getting Weird

Elon Musk recently summed up the capabilities and impact of this new breed of artificial intelligence this way: “Things are getting weird—and they’re getting weird fast.” 

In yesterday’s reading (Giant Reality Collapse), I discussed a new video from the creators of The Social Dilemma. You can view it online CLICK HERE. About halfway through their talk, they make a comment that, while easy to miss, gets to the heart of what’s really going on. 

They note that the first wave of AI (social media) was a “Race to Engagement” but  this second AI wave is a “Race to Intimacy.” The more you interact with it, the faster it learns how to gain your loyalty, affection, and attention. Then comes this chilling comment: "Whichever agent gets to have the primary intimacy relationship in your life, wins.” 

Pause and let that sink in. And as you do, keep in mind that what the enemy most opposes is your union, or intimacy, with God. 

No longer is AI about information or just making your life easier. The battle is for intimacy. Who or what will you be most fascinated by, seek for answers, and spend the most time with? 

Things are accelerating in this world of unreality…and whichever agent gets to have that primary intimacy relationship in your life will win. Things are getting weird—and they’re getting weird fast.
