Second Half of Your Year

July kicks off the second half of the year. Which makes this a particularly good time to reflect on the effect the first half of 2023 has had on your heart and walk with God.

If you’ve lost momentum or hope, it may help to view the past half year as you would the midpoint of a movie. That’s the point where the main character faces the biggest hurdles and all seems lost. Yet, as viewers, we lean in at this moment because we know it’s about to get really good. That help is on the way. But only if the protagonist keeps moving forward.

This is that midpoint for your year. A lot can happen in the coming six months. Things beyond your wildest imagination (Jeremiah 33:3) where seemingly impossible situations can eventually reveal hidden good (Genesis 50:20). But only if you keep moving forward...with God.

Stay with God. Take Heart; Don't Quit. I'll say it again, Stay with God! (Psalm 27:14 MSG)
