Into the Unknown

In the classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, the young girl finds herself before two paths. She asks the Cheshire Cat which way she should go.

“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.

“I don’t much care where–” said Alice.

“Then it doesn’t matter which way you walk,” said the Cat.

“–so long as I get somewhere,” Alice added as an explanation.

“Oh, you’re sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough.” *

Choices are like dominoes. Tip one over and it sets in motion an entire series of events. And they often fall in the most unexpected ways.

Easy and best are rarely on the same path.

You don’t just want to get somewhere. You already know the meaninglessness of trying that approach. The goal isn’t to endlessly wander but to begin a journey into the uncharted unknown with God.
