In This World Or The Next

Everything you’ve been created to do will not happen in this lifetime. That’s not a negative or a limiting statement. It’s a reminder that our creativity doesn’t end when we pass from here to everlasting life.

When you start to see your creativity in this way, it takes the pressure off. Not everything has to either happen now or never. The Creator of time will give you enough time for what he’s stirred in you to create. Either in this world or the next.

In the new heaven and new earth, everything that’s opposed you and your dreams here will be gone. Think of it, your creativity will no longer bound by any time, age, financial, or health constraints. You will be the truest version of you that God always meant. Imagine what you’ll be able to do with colors and sounds that this world has never seen, and with all eternity to pursue the things you were created to do.

As Scripture says, what we can only imagine in part here, we will one day experience in full: Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. (1 Corinthians 13:12 NLT)

If pursuing your creativity in the new heaven and new earth isn’t something you’ve given thought to, I encourage you to do so. Start dreaming bigger dreams. The kind that are too big for this world to contain. Because, after all, this is only the beginning.
