Disinformation Campaign

Political opponents are masters at using disinformation campaigns to confuse and ultimately control others. It’s nothing new. The world has been under a disinformation campaign since the deception in Eden. 

Scripture doesn’t mince words when talking about our ancient enemy. The fallen angel and lying serpent “was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” (John 8:44 NIV). 

Notice this has been going on from the beginning. It’s in the air we breathe. It’s what we’ve come to see as normal operating procedure for this world. He sets things in motion that cause us to doubt God and rely on self. From his first words to Adam and Eve, it’s been the longest running disinformation campaign in the history of the world.  

What disinformation have you come to believe about God? Do you see him as silent, distant, or holding out on you? And what disinformation do you believe about yourself? Perhaps that you’re all alone, there isn’t enough time, or that your creativity doesn’t matter?  

You disrupt the disinformation by spending more time with God while shutting out the source of lies. Doing so is the best way to destroy the enemy’s targeted disinformation campaign of doubt. 

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7 NIV)
