Begin With Intimacy

Intimacy with God always comes before impact for God. 

When you consider your creativity, do you spend more time seeking impact or intimacy? Yes, both can be good. You can do both. But the two aren’t equal.  

If you had to choose between being known as a person of great impact for God or great intimacy with God, which would you prefer? 

“These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.” (Isaiah 29:13 NIV)  

The order matters. Begin with intimacy.
