AI-Proof Your Creativity
Many wonder if AI can ever replace genuine creativity. There’s a growing concern that it will soon be able to duplicate, if not exceed, their specific talents. Is that possible? And if so, what happens then?
It really comes down to this question: Is your creativity replaceable? And I would say...it depends.
For those who rely on self-effort, formula, and trends, generative AI will soon be able to duplicate those works. And do so far faster than a human. That’s not good news to those who have been going through the motions with their creativity.
But if artificial intelligence can duplicate that, the problem isn’t with AI but with us. We have to aim higher. To create from a heart that is fully alive. God invites his sons and daughters to co-create with him—not AI. Artificial intelligence can’t give birth to works that contain an eternal spark because, for starters, it isn’t eternal.
AI will never be our creative savior...nor will it be our creative downfall as long as we choose to create actively and intimately with God. Every other form of creation—whether human or AI—is “less than,” because it is based on formula, the artificial, and self-effort.
But for those who create with God, well, there are no limits. Listen to his invitation: Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own. (Jeremiah 33:3 The Message)
