ABC’s of Creativity: Chaos 202

Throughout May, I’ll be sharing three ideas per reading on a specific aspect of our creativity. I call it the ABC’s of Creativity because I focus on topics that begin with an A, B, or C. If this leaves you hungry for more, my book Waves of Creativity provides an “A to Z” gathering of ideas on creating with God.

Three further thoughts on Chaos…

1
Chaos cannot invade your domain —your heart and your head— without your permission. It wants you to believe you have no choice but to become chaotic when chaos hits. That’s a lie. With God, we can enter the chaos without letting the chaos enter us. It’s freeing to realize that chaos comes at us, but it is not us.

2
Your point of pain—the current chaos you’re going through— is likely the canvas for your next creation. The best journey your art can invite others into is the costly one you must walk first.

3
If you’re at a loss of what to offer this chaotic world, here’s a suggestion: Make something beautiful.
