Your Place of Optimal Creativity

We all have our favorite place to be creative. And that’s good. The environment has an impact on our creativity.

I love the ocean. The sound, smell, and sight of the blue-green waves stirs my soul in deep ways. Yet I live in the mountains…so rarely is that where I get to write.

But that’s okay. Because your location actually isn’t the most important thing. The place of your optimal creativity is with God. It’s taking time to invite his active, intimate presence into the creative process.

This changes everything. You no longer feel alone. Or carry the pressure of it being all up to you. You literally transform the space into a playground where you and God explore ideas and possibilities together.

This is so freeing. Because you can literally experience it anywhere on earth at any time…including right where you are, right now. If you ask for it.

Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. (Jeremiah 33:3 NIV)
