Trail or Trial?

God wants to do life with us. Together.

The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”  (Psalm 32:8 NLT)

God will be our guide, advising and watching over us. But the enemy opposes any move to greater intimacy with God. So when we face setbacks and challenges, don’t blame or doubt God.

Doing so shifts us from being on the trail with God to putting God on trial. The words trail and trial are identical in spelling other than the reversal of the “i” and “a.” Yet there’s a world of difference between their meanings. One leads to intimacy. One leads to bitterness.

Trail or trial? It comes down to whether we see God more as making a path for us…or holding out on us.
