The Leaders We Long For

I grew up believing those in top leadership roles got there through their proven courage, wisdom, humility, and integrity. If only that were true.

It’s often the exact opposite.

The world system depends on leaders who are easy to control. Many who run major organizations and businesses unfortunately made it to the top because of a willingness to make small and large compromises. They've proven that they’ll do anything as long as it fuels their increase in ego, power, and wealth—while keeping past compromises hidden.

Thankfully, some leaders aren’t for sale. The world system fears these men and women. Because they can’t be bought or bribed. They look to God, not the world, for their worth.

It’s easy to look around and wonder why there aren’t more good leaders.

But a better invitation awaits. God is ready to shape us into the leaders needed for this moment in time. Within our family. Within our community. Within our realm of creativity. But we have to ask…and then start. Doing so matters more than we imagine.
