Stop Telling Yourself These Lies

How does it look to let chaos in? It usually begins with unhelpful self-talk. We let toxic thoughts enter in. Then we nurture them by repeating them and living as if they’re true.
For example…

“Nothing is ever going to change.”
“The world is a scary place.”
“There’s no time to pursue what matters.”
“There’s not enough money each month.”
“It’s all up to me and I’m all on my own.”
“Life just isn’t fair.”

Sound familiar? These internal monologues never lead anywhere helpful. Though they may feel true in the moment, it weakens your resolve if you accept the enemy’s lie of what’s going on. If you embrace these fear-based thoughts, it will change you. And not for the better.

Instead, ask God for his interpretation of the chaos swirling around and within you. Then adopt his perspective for overcoming what comes against you in this fallen world.
