No Seeds, No Harvest
We live in an instant, entitled culture. Everyone wants fame and success…and they want it now. Yet few want to put in the time and energy necessary to facilitate that outcome.
That’s not how God designed life to work. We have to sow before we reap.
Perhaps we’ve been waiting for a time of harvest but it’s actually the time for us to plant new seeds with God. When we do, it creates a shift from entitlement to expectancy. We get to be part of a process that, over time, results in a harvest that is beyond us.
Then Jesus said, “God’s kingdom is like seed thrown on a field by a man who then goes to bed and forgets about it. The seed sprouts and grows—he has no idea how it happens. The earth does it all without his help: first a green stem of grass, then a bud, then the ripened grain. When the grain is fully formed, he reaps—harvest time! (Mark 4:26-29, The Message)
