Is This How You See Jesus?
Today, we celebrate the birth of Jesus. The name Immanuel means God with us. And he remains with us, every moment of every day.
Especially at Christmas, it’s essential we pause and ask ourselves how we see Jesus. Is our vision of him a baby in a manger? That was true…for a moment in time. But Christ’s life didn’t begin in the manger. In fact, it had no beginning.
Listen to this mind-blowing truth of Colossians 1:15-17 (NLT): Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.
Is that how you see him?
Christ existed before anything was created. He is supreme over all creation…including your creations. He holds all creation together…including you.
