In a Hurry? Come Back Later.

I had to pause at the sign in front of a Mexican restaurant I recently visited. It said:

In a Hurry? Please Try Us When You’re Not.

It went on to explain they hand-make every order. That the process can’t be rushed. So if you’re expecting something fast, this isn’t your place. Come back when you have time.

I love their honesty about what a worthwhile experience requires. Time.

The same holds true with God. We often come to him demanding instant results. We don’t have time to talk or listen or rest. We just want a sign from him…now.

Maybe he’s already given us that sign. In a Hurry? Come Back When You’re Not.
