God Has Prepared You

A close friend recently went through a hard season. We live on opposite ends of the globe, so it wasn’t possible to meet in person. But I did reach out with these words:

Thanks for the update on your story. Though much is still veiled in mystery, I sense God is preparing you for this new frontier. Actually, that’s not quite right. I don’t sense that God is preparing you. But rather that he already has prepared you for what awaits. Though it’s not yet clear what’s coming, you are ready. I'm expectant for what that invitation will be. But know when it comes and is revealed, you are ready to enter into it with God.

I believe God wants me to share these words with you as well.

The enemy never wants you to think you’re ready. It’s a lie to keep you forever waiting on the sidelines.  

But God is a good Father who prepares his sons and daughters. His initiation of us always precedes his invitation for us. 

Ask God what he’s already prepared you for. Then, like my friend, know that when it comes and is revealed, you are ready to enter into it with God.
