Big Problems, Bigger God

When hard times hit, we lose perspective if we focus on the wrong thing…the problem.

It’s human nature to give our full attention to the issue right in front of us. Yet doing so never works. Why? Because we’re approaching things backwards.

We overestimate the problem and we underestimate God.

We see him as the rescue plan once all our efforts fail. So our focus goes from the problem to us to, if needed, God.

Try doing the inverse today. Turn to God first. Release all your worries to him. Rest in his peace. Follow his guidance for what to do next (and when). You’ll be amazed at how much better things look when you keep your eyes on God in the midst of the chaos.

In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success. (Proverbs 3:6 TLB)
