Before All Is Well

How would our lives change if we practiced gratitude in the midst of the unknown rather than making it dependent on a desired outcome?

Instead of “I’m grateful when things go my way,” we can shift our posture to “I’m grateful now, before all is well.”

Until then, God’s goodness is always on trial. Circumstances are the proving ground. And we see ourselves as the judge.

We break this cycle by making God’s goodness nonnegotiable. How? By holding firm to the truth that God loves us. No matter what. That he is a good Father. Always. We lean into him instead of away from him in the midst of the storm. And even before all is well.
